DIED-Friday, July 14, at her home in Jones township, Mrs. Ellen Donahue, aged 58 years.

Ellen Herlihy was born in Cloens Parish, Rushmore, County Kerry, Ireland, in 1835. After emigrating to this country, she was married at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, to John Donahue, who survives her.

Eight children, seven boys and one girl, were the result of this union. Four of the sons reside in this county. The family is a prominent one in their locality and enjoy the respect and esteem of a large circle of acquaintance.

Deceased was a member of the Catholic church. The funeral took place on Saturday from St. Edward’s church in Afton. Rev. Father Rusie officiating. The remains were buried in the cemetery west of town.
