Nora Recoy,70,dies early today

Mrs. Nora Recoy,70,died at her home at 210 north Cherry street at 1 a.m. today. She had been ill for several years. She had lived in Creston since 1937.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Her body is at the Keating and Beemer funeral home here.
Nora KinKennon was born in Union County, May 5,1891. She was the daughter of Levi and Sarah P. Whited KinKennon. She moved with her parents to South Dakota as a young lady and married at Michell, S.D., Nov 11, 1908, to Jessie Recoy. She lived in South Dakota until after the death of her husband in 1936. She returned to Creston in 1937 and had made her home here since that time.

Mrs. Recoy is survived by four sons,James Recoy of Harrison,Ark., Rex Recoy of Reliance, S.D., Robert Recoy of Omaha,Neb., and Ted Recoy of Orient; five daughters, Mrs Ray Hedlund of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Margarete Foster of Gowrie, Mrs. Gladys Weeber and Helen Recoy of Creston, and Mrs. Anna Keller of Fort Dodge; 30 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Blanchard of Creston and Mrs. Nettie Hafner of Panora; and three brothers, Tom KinKennon of Thayer, Bert KinKennon of Guthrie Center and Frank KinKennon of Winterset.

She was a member of the Methodist church in South Dakota.
