Clark Harper, Creston

Clark E. Harper, 84, of Creston died Friday morning, June 12, 1987, at the home of his daughter in State Center where he had lived for the last 16 weeks.

Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Larkin Funeral Home here. The Rev. Bob Pickerell, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. A family night will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Larkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Harper was born April 5, 1903, in Winterset. He married Florence Etta "Frenchy" Mason Dec. 29,1924, in Osceola. They moved to Creston in 1929 and operated "Clark's" Place for 29 years, retiring 1957.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Mrs. Bill) Glade of State Center; a son, Bud Harper of Creston; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on June 26, 1977.
