Dyersville Commercial, Dyersville, Iowa-March 26, 1953

Mrs. Maria Henke, 68, died at her home in Dysart January 29, 1932. She was born March 21, 1863, she was born in Buesum, Ditmarschen, Germany. At the age of 19 she came to America making her home at first with the Herman Dressen family near Dysart.

On July 3, 1889, she was united in marriage to William Henke. In 1919, the family moved to Dyersville where Mr. Henke died Oct. 12, 1927
