Lulu Mae Alberts Dies at 82; Toledo Burial

Services for Mrs. Lulu Mae Alberts, 82, of Marshalltown, who died Sunday, October 25, 1959, at Mercy hospital in Marshalltown where she had been a patient for two weeks, were held Thursday at the Estel-Perrin chapel with Major Gordon Wilson of the Salvation Army in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery north of Toledo. Her death was attributed to a cerebral thrombosis. She was born in Tama County, on May 15, 1877, the daughter of Levi and Elizabeth Amidon Mohler. She received her education and grew to womanhood in Tama County and Wisconsin. She was married to Charles A. Earhart in 1893 and they farmed in Tama County most of their married life. Mr. Earhart died in 1932. Also preceding her in death were five children including a son in World War II. In 1944 she married George Alberts and they had always made their home in Marshalltown. Surviving are the husband, and four children, William Earhart of South Gate, Calif., John L. Earhart of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. John (Betty) Albers of Long Grove, and Mrs. Harold (Rachel) Ankeny of Oskaloosa, also two brothers, Lynn Mohler of Toledo, and Loren Mohler of Rochester, Minn.; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Frank (Lois) Smoldt in 1932, and a brother, Lloyd in 1950 and another brother in infancy.
