Paul I. Jacobsen, 82, of Traer, formerly of Reinbeck and Waterloo, died Sunday, Aug. 26, at Windsor Care Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at the St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Traer. Burial will be at the Reinbeck Cemetery.

Paul was born March 14, 1925, in Reinbeck, son of Iwar O. and Irma R. Gibson Jacobsen.

Mr. Jacobsen was a 1944 graduate of Reinbeck High School. He worked at the Traer Hemp Mill and later at the Traer Crreamery for a total of fifteen years. He then was employed in 1962 at Schoitz Memorial Hospital as an orderly, retiring from the central supply/materials dept. at Covenant Medical Center in 1987. Following retirement he volunteered in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Dept. until 2003.

Survivors include: four cousins, Lois (Vernon) Conradi of Colorado Springs, Susan (Wes) Crosley of Spokane, WA, Clyde Clement of Minneapolis, MN, and Bruce Clement of CA.

Preceded in death by: his parents; an uncle, Les Gibson; an aunt, Esther Clement; and several uncles on the Jacobsen side.

Memorials: may be directed to the Covenant Foundation.

Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, was in charge of the arrangements.
