Dana Fisher, 24, of Traer died Tuesday. Nov. 15, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo as the result of a motorcycle accident near Traer.

Funeral services were held at United Presbyterian Church in Traer on Saturday, November 19, with the Rev. Rick Vesely officiating.

Military rites were by Kubik Finch Post #142 of Traer. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. Condolences may be left at www.overtonservice.com .

Dana M. Fisher, the son of Tim and Michelle Lames, was born January 15, 1981 in Waterloo, IA. Dana moved to Traer in 1991 where he attended North Tama Schools graduating with the class of 1999. He then entered the US Army where he attended his basic training at Ft. Sill, OK and completed AIT training at Ft. Knox, KY. He was stationed in Germany from December 1999 to December 2001. He also spent six months in Kosovo from June to November 2000. He reenlisted in October of 2001 and served a tour in Iraq. He received his discharge in October of 2004. Dana has earned many service medals including: The Good Conduct Medal, two Army Achievement medals; the NATO Medal/Kosovo Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service medal. He enjoyed motorcross, fishing and snowboarding.

He is survived by his parents Tim and Michelle Lamos of Traer, his grandmother Norine Fisher of Traer, grandfather Virgil Fisher of Cedar Rapids, great-grandmother Marian Fisher of Springville, IA, an aunt, uncle and cousins Matt, Jamie, Brendan and Alex as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Overton Funeral Home, Traer was in charge of arrangements.
