Warren William Willson, 56 died at his home in Tama Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1953 at 1:00 a.m. from emphysema of the lungs.
Mr. Willson had been ill for three years and was bedfast for the past 11 weeks.
He was born in Warsaw, MO, January 3, 1897, the youngest of 11 children of Warren Benjamin Willson and Susan Marie Stevens Willson.
When he was four years old the family moved to Webster City, where he was educated and on July 22, 1920, he married Roxie Beal. they lived there for the next five years.
In 1925 they came to Tama county where Mr. Willson farmed until 1942, when he moved to Tama. He was employed by the Joslyn Manufacturing Co. for five years until his illness three years ago.
Mr. Willson was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife and eight children; Mrs. Amos (Violet) Lenning, Marion Willson, Kenneth Willson, Janice Willson and Sherry Willson of Tama; Mrs. Edward (Bonnie) Matula of marshalltown; Mrs Loyal (Ruth) Benesh of Brooklyn and A/-C Robert Willson, stationed at Camp Kilmer, N.J.
Eight grandchildren also survive, Gary Lenning, Larry Lenning, Patty Matula, Danny Matula, Kenneth Craig Willson, Janet Willson, Robert Willson and Larry Miller.
Mr. Willson is also survived by seven brothers and sisters: Mrs. Nettie Benson, Mrs. Cora Knoedler, Mrs. Mary Butler, Mrs. George E. Wilson, George Willson, Richard Willson, and Mrs. Lillie Basley.
Preceding him in death were two brothers and a sister; Mrs. Lucie Poncin, Ellis Willson and Frank Willson.
Services were held at the Harrison Funeral Home, thursday, October 1, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Delbert Cowley officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were, Claude Willson. Chelsea Willson, Russell Willson, Warren Willson, alvin Willson and Louis Loveless all of Webster City and all nephews of Mr. Willson.
Harrison's Flower shop was in charge of flowers.
