Barbara Jean (Parsons) Reisinger was born January 12, 1948 in Waterloo, IA, daughter of Vernon and Joye (Powell) Parsons. Barbara received her education in Waterloo where she attended East High School. In August of 1964 she was united in marriage to Gary Reisinger at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA and they later divorced. She made her home in Waterloo where she was employed at Powers Manufacturing; Bradfield?s Grocery and currently was employed in the deli at the Hy-Vee in Waterloo. Barbara has been fighting a battle with cancer and her death came on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother Joye Marquart of Waterloo, one son Jonney Reisinger of Old Orchid Beach, Maine and one daughter Brenda Miller of Willcox, Arizona, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. one brother Gayle Parsons of Wright City, Missouri, three sisters, Sharon Thompson of Waterloo, Linda Price of Traer and Christina Stalzer of Dike, Iowa
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday; March 19, 2008 at the funeral home. There will be no funeral services, but family and friends are invited to the visitation to be held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund in Barbara's name is being established.
