Ellen "Nellie" Kent
(September 7, 1871 - October 14, 1906)

Mrs Charles Kent, nee Nellie Haley, died Sunday Oct 1906 at Haven. On the preceding Thursday her infant child, three months old, passed away and she did not long survive her babe. Mrs Kent's health had been poor for several years, having been afflicted with consumption. Her husband took her to South Dakota in the hope that a change of climate might prove beneficial. There was some temporaty improvement but it was at last seen that she could not live and she was brought back to this county where she might breathe her last among the scenes of her childhood surrounded by old friends and relatives. Mrs Kent was a good woman, a loving wife & mother and her untimely death brings sorrow to many hearts and great bereavement to the husband and two motherless children, Frances & Fred.
Ellen & Charles were united in marriage Feb 8, 1899. Frances M Kent was born March 5, 1904.
The funeral of the baby was held Saturday and of Mrs Kent on Tuesday from the Catholic church. Interment in St Patrick's cemetery.
