Pauline Marie Dvorak, age 84, of Toledo, died on Friday, May 11, 2007 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City due to a short illness. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in rural Toledo. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2007 from 4-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM.
Pauline Marie Dvorak was born on December 2, 1922, in rural Clutier, the daughter of Frank J. and Agnes (Petra) Dvorak.
She graduated from Elberon High School.
Pauline was formerly employed by Dr. Wright in Toledo as his assistant in optometry. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama, CCW, and KD Lodge. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, and cooking. Pauline was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Albin Dvorak; one sister, Lillian Wobeter; and two nephews.
Survivors include one sister, Marcella Milne of Dysart; one brother-in-law, Ed Wobeter of Toledo; one sister-in-law, Violet Dvorak of Clutier; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established.
