OBITUARY

RAYMOND D. WHITE

Raymond D. White, 71, of Buckingham, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo after an extended illness. No services are being planned at this time. burial will be at a later date. Overton Funeral Home, Traer is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Douglas White was born March 6, 1929 at Eau Claire, WI, the son of George and Anna (Lewis) White. He attended school near Eau Claire and later continued his education at Thief River Falls, WI for two years. Raymond then went into the Merchant Marines and later served his country during the Korean Conflict.

Raymond worked as an independent businessman servicing numerical computer machine tools.

On Dec. 3, 1976 he was united in marriage to Susan Shook at Cresco, IA. they made their home for a time at Minneapolis, MN before moving to Waterloo, IA. In 1993 they moved to Buckingham, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Pearle.

Survivors include his wife, Susan of Buckingham, one son Shane White of Buckingham; one daughter, Heather Roth of Belle Plaine; his mother, Anna White of Albany, MN; one brother Clovis White of Oklahoma and one granddaughter.
