OBITUARY

ANN C. SIEH

A memorial service for Ann Sieh, 86, of Traer, and formerly of Des Moines, was held Wednesday morning, Aug. 23, 2000, at Overton Family Funeral Home in Traer with private interment at Buckingham Cemetery. The Rev. Sheryl Campbell officiated.

She died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Sunrise Hill Care & Rehab Center in Traer following an extended illness.

A memorial fund has been established.

Ann Caroline Sieh was born July 3, 1914, at Traer, the daughter of Ferdinand and Anna (Gosau) Sieh. She received her education at Traer High School in the Class of 1931, at the age of 16.

She continued her education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, graduating in 1935. Ann then taught commercial subjects in the high school at Lamont for three years before accepting a position with Union Central Life Insurance Company in Des Moines, Iowa.

After many years with the company Ann retired in 1970 and returned to Traer. In September 1998 she entered Sunrise Hill Care & Rehab Center in Traer.

Ann grew up attending Ripley United Church of Christ and attended the Plymouth Congregational Church during her years in Des Moines.

In free moments she enjoyed her family and friends. She also enjoyed photography and loved to travel.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Elsie Elmore and a brother, Henry.

She is survived by her sister, Louise Sieh of Traer; a niece; two nephews; three great-nieces and three great-nephews.
