OBITUARY

JOYCE ROLLINS

A memorial service for Joyce D. Rollins, 65, of Traer was held Monday morning, July 28, 1997, at Overton Funeral Home in Traer with the Rev. Rick Vesely, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church officiating.

Joyce died of cancer Thursday, July 24, 1997, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.

Joyce Delaine Rollins was born June 10, 1932, east of Traer the daughter of Glenn and Elsie (Short) Fox. She received her education at Traer and graduated from Traer High School in the Class of 1950.

On Sept. 20, 1952, Joyce was united in marriage to John Rollins. the couple owned and operated Rollins Dry cleaning business in Traer for 30 years.

She was an avid reader, bird watcher and enjoyed her family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Joyce is survived b y her husband, John of Traer; one son, Steve and his wife, Deb Rollins of Delhi and two grandsons.
