OBITUARY

NORA PLOGMAN

Private graveside services for Nora Plogman, 83, of Traer, were held Monday, Jan. 20 at West Union Cemetery with the Rrev. Peter Swiggum officiating. She died at the home of her daughter, Irene at Denver on Friday, Jan. 17 [1986).

Casket bearers were Virgil, Lester and Brian Plogman and Robert, Gregory and Joel Thies.

Born on Feb. 17, 1902 at gladbrook, she was the daughter of Johannes and Marie (Witt) Puls. She received her education in country schools near Gladbrook.

She was married to Roy Plogman in February of 1922 at Marshalltown and the couple made their home in Tama and Benton Counties, where they farmed all of their married lives.

After Roy died on Sept. 5, 1956, she made her home near Gladbrook and Traer, then lived with her son, Lester, near Traer for 14 years. In March of this year, she became ill, and recently had been living with her daughter, Irene in Denver.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roy; one daughter, Violet, and three brothers.

Surviving include two sons, Virgil of Vinton and Lester of Traer; two daughters, marian Plogman of Independence and Irene Plogman of Denver, and three grandchildren.
