OBITUARY

ROBERT PARMATER JR

Funeral services for Robert E. Parmater Jr, 55, of Dysart were held Saturday morning, Sept. 18, 1999 at Heartland Community Church in La Porte City with the. Revs. Robert McMurdock and J. Richard Ernst officiating. Burial was in Mooreville Hill Cemetery. rural Dysart. He died Wednesday. Sept. 15. 1999.

Casket bearers were Daryl Abbott, Doane Christian, Harry Moeller, Mark Nechanicky, Stan Tow and Bob Zeien. Music for the funeral scrvice was provided by Necia Tow. Ushers were Ken Adolphs, Ned Seebach and Lee Nichols. Floral tributes were handled by Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Luze, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Petersen and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wendt.

Robert Eugene Parmater Jr. was born Oct. 30, 1943, near La Porte City IA, the son of Robert Sr. and Bernice Parmater. He attended and graduated from Genesco Consolidated School.

On June 22. 1963, he was married to Charlotte Hill. Bob farmed all of his adult life in the Dysart area and also worked at John Deere for eight years and for Members Mutual Oil Company for eight years. In 1996 he retired from farming, due to ill health and moved to their home north of Dysart.

He enjoyed the wooded area with its trees and birds as well as riding the trails in the woods. Among his talents were welding and woodworking, making useful and decorative iitms for his family as well as candleholders and the Communion set for his church.

Bob was a charter member of the Church of Promise. Important to him were his wife, children, grandchildren and the Christian fellowship of his church family.

Preceding him in death was his father. He is survived by his wife; one son and daughter-in-iaw, Alan and Sarah Parmater of Hayes. VA., one daughter and her husband, Christine and Troy Mangrich of Dysart: three grandchildren; his mother, Bernice Parmater of Vinton; one brolher and two sisters.

Overton Family Funeral Homes-Dysart was in charge of arrangements.
