OBITUARY

Elizabeth Ann Kober was born on a farm near Traer on March 10, 1916, the daughter of Frank & Millie (Vogt-Safley) Kober. Elizabeth was raised near Traer and received her education in country school and later graduated from the Traer High School with the class of 1933. She then attended the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and taught in rural schools for many years.

Elizabeth loved the farm life and was a wonderful gardener and kept wonderful flower gardens. She will also be remembered for her fine cooking.

In her younger years she was very active in the life of the Ripley United Church of Christ in Traer, where she also taught Sunday school.

On December 3rd of this year she became a patient at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, and on Friday, December 15, 2000, it was there that she passed away at the age of 84 years.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John in 1980; she is survived by 3 sisters; Katherine & Bertha Kober of Traer, and Pauline Kober of Waterloo.

Following the committal services et the cemetery family and friends are invited to the church fellowship hall for a time of food end fellowship.
