MEMORIAL TRIBUTE

Bertha Mae Kober was born Mag 25, 1921 on a farm northeast of Traer, IA the daughter of Frank and Millie Vogt Safley Kober. She received her education in country school near Traer and graduated £rom Traer High School in the Class of 1939. She continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College now known as UNI. Bertha lived in Cedar Rapids and Vinton for a time where she worked for area families.

She returned to the farm in Traer and was employed briefly at Hensey's Grocery.

For the past two years she has been a resident of the Sunrise Hill Care Center and more recently has been a patient at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Bertha's death came at the hospital on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the age of 83 years.

She was a member of the Ripley United Church of Christ and Traer American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother John and one sister Elizabeth.

She is survived by two sisters Katherine Kober of Traer and Pauline Kober of Waterloo.

Following the committal service there will be a luncheon held at the church fellowship hall.
