OBITUARY

JEANETTE HOOK

Funeral services for Jeanette D. Hook, 74, of Manhattan, Kan., and formerly of the Dysart area will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at the Overton Funeral Home in Dysart at 10:30 a. m. Burial will follow in the Dysart Cemetery. Visitation hours are from 2-8 p. m. Friday, Nov. 28.

Jeanette died of cancer in Manhattan, Kan., Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997. The Rev. Edward Bastedo, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Organist will be LuAnn Pritchard and Paul Lindeman will serve as vocalist. Casket bearers include Gary Hubler, Robert Pritchard, Jerry Messer, Robert Minkel, Ronnie Parizek and Delos Seebach. Honorary bearers are William Irvine, Eugene Moffitt, Keith Peters and James Willmre. Floral tributes will be handled by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pritchard and Mr. and Mrs. Herald Mitchell.

Jeanette D. Hook was born July 7, 1923, at Keystone, IA., the daughter of Leonard and Rose (Kalina) Feuerbach. Jeanette received her education at Geneseo Consolidated Schools.

She was united in marriage to Marvin Hook Dec. 31, 1947. The couple made their home farming near Dysart for many years. Jeanette worked in the Iowa Public School system for 17 years, retiring in 1981. She and her husband then moved to Manhattan, where they have lived since that time.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Rickie. She is survived by her husband, Marvin; one son, Johnnie and his wife, Sherrie and one grandson, all of Manhattan; and one brother, Loren Feuerbach of Dysart.
