OBITUARY
ARTHUR MANFULL JR.
Funeral services for Arthur Manfull Jr., 87, of Traer, were held Wednesday morning, May 31, 2000, at the United Methodist Church in Traer with the Revs. Marshall Monthei and Rick Vesely officiating. Burial was in Buckingham Cemetery, rural Traer.
Art died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Music for the funeral service was furnished by Nancy Grady, organist and Wayne Dunlavey, vocalist. Casket bearers were Bryan Manfull, Aaron Manfull, Larry Manfull, Jason Manful!, A.J. Manfull and Richard Manfull. Floral tributes were handled by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Wolfgram and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Philip.
Arthur (Artie) Manful! Jr., was born July 8, 1912, at Montour, lA.. the son of Arthur and Edna (Tomlinson) Manfull Sr. When he was 2 years old the family moved to the Traer area, locating north of Traer in the Buckingham area and he attended school in Buckingham. The family also operated a dairy business, in addition to farming, and they delivered milk to Traer every day.
On Dec. 25, 1936, Art was united in marriage to Bernice Staker in Waterloo. Art's parents moved to town and Artie and Bernice lived on the family farm and operated the dairy business. The couple also farmed until 1969 when they bought a new home at 506 Toledo St. and moved to Traer. Artie then worked at the Farmers Elevator for eight years until retiring in 1977.
After Art's health declined the couple moved to an apartment. Preceding him in death were his parents; six brothers, Charles, Roger, Harry, Carl, Clifford and Ivan and one sister, Myrtle Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Traer; three sons and their wives, Dennis and Kathie Manful! of Traer, Sidney and Donna Manfull of Washington and Kim and Kelli Manfull of Cedar Falls; one daughter and her husband, Barbara and Richard Winterroth of Reinbeck: 12 grandchildren and II great-grandchildren. Overton Family Homes- Traer was in charge of arrangements.
