OBITUARY
ELFRIEDA HACH
Funeral services for Elfrieda Hach, 93, of Dysart were held Monday, Jan. 17,2000, at the Dysart United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Blix officiating. Burial followed in Oneida Cemetery, rural Clutier. Mrs. Hach died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Sunrise Hill Care & Rehab Center in Traer, following a short illness Music for the funeral service was provided by Marilyn Mehlhaus, organist and Ruth Kavalier, vocalist. Casket bearers were David Hach, Benny Hach, Lonny Hach, Randy Dvorak, John Brady, Jefrey Mohlis and Bob Howe. Floral tributes were handled by Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Orht and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gonnerman.
Elfrieda Anna Louisa Hach was born Sept. 14, 1906, southwest of Dysart, the daughter of Albert G. and Matilda (Schmid) Blocker. Elfrieda grew up on the farm where she was born and received her education at country school in Oneida Township. On Sept. 25, 1927, she was united in marriage to Edward Hach at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Elfrieda and Ed made their home farming on the Hach homestead southwest of Dysart, where they lived for 27 years.
In addition to raising her family, Elfrieda was a member and worker of the Dysart United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and she did volunteer work at Sunnycrest Nursing Home. Many people will remember Elfrieda for being faithful to family and friends with her cards and letters over the years. She was also known for her baking and fancywork which she shared with with others. When Donald and his wife took over the operation of the farm, Elfrieda and Ed moved to Dysart where Elfrieda continued to live following Ed's death Aug. 20,1968. On Sept. 14, 1992, she moved to the LaPorte City Care Center and in April 1995 she moved to Sunrise Hill Care & Rehab Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; one son, Dicky and one brother, Herman. Surviving are one son, Donald and his wife, Marilyn of Dysart; one daughter Mrs. Earl (Dadetta) Mohlis of Westgate; seven grandchildren; II great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A memorial fund has been established. Overton Family Funeral Homes-Dysart was in charge of arrangements.
