OBITUARY

Pauline T. Harold was born on July 5, 1893, at Garwin, Iowa, daughter of William and Nettie (Muckler) Harold. Pauline graduated from Toledo High School in 1912 and then attended Leander Clark College, graduating in the class of 1917. Pauline spent all her active years teaching and taught one year in Stratford, Ia., followed by three years at Churdan, Ia. Pauline moved to Traer in the fall of 1921 where she taught mathematics until her retirement in 1958. Pauline had been residing at her apartment on Main Street and more recently was admitted to Schoitz Memorial Hospital at Waterloo where she died, Monday, Sept. 7, 1981, at the age of 88 years. Pauline was a member of the United Methodist Church, Bona Dea Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bonhomie Club and the P.E.O. Pauline is survived by a great nephew, Russell Elliott, of Mason City, and two great nieces, Beverly Sels of Capistrano Beach, Calif., and Eileen Everett of Chillicothe, Mo., as well as a niece, Della Elliott, of Oceanside, Calif.
