Ellsworth Harrison (d. 26 Mar 1989)

TRAER-Services for Ellsworth Harrison, 89, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Traer; burial in Buckingham Cemetery, Traer, with grave military rites by the Traer American Legion Post; he died Sunday (March 26) at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, after a lengthy illness; survivors include his wife Evelyn; a son, Monte Joe Harrison of Bakersfield, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Sieh of Reinbeck and Shirley Knudson of Clearwater, Fla,; a nephew, Jack Norman, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Harrison; and 14 grandchildren; he was preceded in death by three bothers and six sisters; friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Overton Funeral Home, Traer; Mr. Harrison served with the U.S. Army during World War I; he was a retired produce buyer and serves as a justice of the peace for eight years and as mayor Traer for 13 years.
