OBITUARY

Doris O. Holst was born May 8, 1908 near Traer, Iowa; the daughter of Louis and Gertrude (Gates) Fletcher. Doris attended school at Traer and graduated from Traer High School in the class of 1925. She then began working as a bookkeeper for Farmer Lumber Company in Traer for a time. On November 27, 1930 she was united in marriage to Henry Holst at the home of her mother in Traer. Doris and Henry made their home farming all their married life on a farm southeast of Traer. Her death came at her home on Wednesday, September 278, 1995 at the age of 87 years. She was an active member of the Traer United Methodist Church, Iowana Club and a charter member of the Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Harvey, and two sisters; Wilma and Aleta. She is survived by her husband; Henry of Clutier, two daughters; Joyce (Mrs. Norman) Kopecky of Guttenberg, Iowa and Jo Ann (Mrs. Dan) Kimberlin of Charlotte, North Carolina, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
