OBITUARY

Milton C. Wolfgram was born March 13, 1928 near Crandon, South Dakota, the son of Frank A. and Minnie K. (Koester) Wolfgram. At the age of 3 Milton moved with his family near Gladbrook, IA where he attended county school east of town. He lataer attended Gladbrook public school and later graduated from Traer High School in the class of 1946.

Milton then worked as a hired hand for area farmers until January 23, 1951 when he entered the US Army where he served his country during the Korean Conflict.

On May 20, 1952 he was united in marriage to Shirley Keese at the United Methodist Church in Traer. In October of 1952 they moved to a farm south of Traer where they farmed until January of 1966, then moved to town. Milton then became employed at John Deere Tractor Works in Waaterloo where he was employed until his retirement in December of 1988.

For the past year Milton has been fighting a battle with cancer and his death came at the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Waterloo at the age of 74 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Ruth Dinsdale. He is survived by his wife Shirley, one daughter Cindy Holen and her special friend Steve Shroyer of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, one brother Donald Wolfgram and wife Donna of Traer, one sister Frances Dinsdale of Traer, one brother-in-law Marvin Dinsdale of Traer, two granddaughters Pam (Bruce) DeVries and Michele (Rod) Mennen, and six great-grandchildren Kyle, Travis, Hailey, Zachary, Damien and Brooke.
