OBITUARY

Services for Annabelle Tomlinson, 97, of Traer, were held at Overton Funeral Home in Traer Monday morning, Sept. 28, with the Rev. Rick Vesley, pastor of the Traer United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Buckingham Cemetery, rural Traer.

She died at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, following a short illness.

Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Wesley Tomlinson. Flowers were tended to by Lee Ann Cluts and Linda Bevins.

Casket bearers were Ervin Tomlinson, John Tomlinson, Donald Tomlinson, Wesley Tomlinson, Allan Wilson and Robert Altenhein.

Annabelle Tomlinson was born near Traer in Buckingham Township Dec. 17, 1900, the daughter of Joseph and Isabelle (Dinsdale) Tomlinson. She received her education in country school and then cared for her parents until their deaths.

Annabelle worked for various area businesses and was a route delivery person for the Waterloo Courier for many years.

Following the death of her parents, she continued to make her home in Traer and in more recent years had been a resident of Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. She enjoyed doing needlework, crocheting and keeping up with the lives of her family members. She was also devoted to her parents and the family farm.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, William and Lester and two sisters, Nellie Wilson and Estella Weiler.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
