OBITUARY

Keely Renee Lyons was born March 1, 1985 at Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Brian and Linda (Wieck) Lyons. She lived with her family in Traer, Iowa where she attended Pied Piper Preschool and attended North Tama School from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Keely was active in volleyball, band and other school activities. She worked at the Traer Short Stop and was planning to attend college in the Fall. Keely enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and boyfriend Josh. She loved to create in the kitchen and was known for her excellent pie crust and sugar cookies.

Keely was with Josh and her friends when her death came as a result of an automobile accident on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at the age of 18 years, 1 month and 27 days.

She is survived by her parents Brian and Linda of Traer, a brother Sean Lyons, currently serving in the US Army stationed in Iraq, maternal grandparents, Paul & Catharine Wieck of Dysart; paternal grandparents, Donald & Janice Lyons of Dysart; and a great-grandmother, Bernadine Lyons. Family and friends will miss her spontaneous wit, humor and beautiful smile.
