Obituary
Lester V. Ludvichek was born August 27, 1911 on a farm south of Dysart, Iowa; the son of James and Julia (Dvorak) Ludvichek. As a young child he moved with his family to the Chelsea area where he attended school. On March 3, 1937 he was united in marriage to Gladys Konicek at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Lester and Gladys moved to the Traer area where they farmed for 20 years. Lester then took a job with Funks Hibred Seed Corn Company where he was employed for 19 years until his retirement. In 1981 they moved to their home at 802 Crestview Drive in Traer where they have made their home since. In recent months Lester’s health has failed and was a patient at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls where his death came on Monday, November 18, 1996 at the age of 85 years. In free moments he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Gladys of Traer and one sister Gladys Helm of Traer.
