OBITUARY

Dean Logan was born on February 13, 1908 at Traer, IA; the son of Robert and Grace (Powell) Logan Sr.. He received his education in country school and at Traer High School. Dean began farming with his family and after his father’s death in 1942, he continued the farming operation. Dean was later employed by Funks Hybrid Seed Company in Traer. In 1973 Dean retired to his home in Traer where he cared for his mother until her death. In free moments he enjoyed his garden and visiting with family and friends. In recent months Dean had been in failing health and his death came at his home on Wednesday, March 6, 1996 at the age of 88. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Rachel Wilson and Marcella Cavin. Dean is survived by one brother; Robert Logan of Cedar Falls, a sister; Jessie Tucker of Marshalltown and two special friends; Dennis and Ursula Haach.
