Paula Jon Thomas Lehmeier, daughter of John Robert and Euterpa May Hagedorn Thomas, was born on November 22, 194l in Traer, Iowa.

Paula graduated from Traer High School in 1959 and attended UNI. Paula was united in marriage to Jere Ewing and later to Richard Lehmeier. She was an ATT Account Executive until retirement.

Paula was a member of T.T.T., Athenaeum; and past President of Geneseo UMW, Traer PEO Chapter EC, and the Traer Chamber of Commerce.

In 1994 Paula received the Show You Care award from KCRG-TV, and the 1994 Community Service Award from the Tipton Rotary Club.

Paula touched many lives and on May 6, 1999, her time on earth was through. The Lord called her home. Paula is survived by her husband, Richard Lehmeier of Tipton, Iowa; her parents, John & Euterpa Thomas of Waterloo, Iowa; a daughter, Tracey Kaye Hulme and husband Rod of Traer, Iowa; two sons, Timothy G. Ewing of Blairstown, Iowa and Thomas A. Ewing and wife Ann of Coralville, Iowa; step-daughter, Sandra L. Peters and husband Glen of Solon, Iowa; step-son Kenneth R. Lehmeier and wife Shelly of Loveland, Colorado; sisters, Suzanne R. Lewis and husband Duane of Waterloo, Iowa, Candace L. Kiess and husband Ron of Batavia, Illinois, and Cheri L. Cederlund and husband Gary of Waterloo, Iowa; a brother, John M. Thomas of Brunswick, Maine; nine grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, Jemia, Alexandria, Camden, Brayton, Kristina, Hannah, Benjamin, Dalton, Brody, Brian, Kyle, Craig, and Keith. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jere Ewing in 1983.

A memorial has been established for the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, Hospice, and the United Methodist Church. On behalf of the family we would like to thank you for attending the service today. You are invited to attend a luncheon at the United Methodist Church immediately following the service.
