GLENN, Curtis (1955 - 1998)

CURTIS GLENN

Curtis A GLENN, 42, of 108 N. Main St., Traer, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Covenant Medical Center Emergency Room, Waterloo, of a blood clot.

He was born Oct. 30, 1955, in Whittier, Calif., the son of Kenneth C and Jean (OWENS) GLENN. He married Julie SIMON July 18, 1978, in California and they were later divorced.

He graduated from San Francisco state University and the California Culinary Academy.

He was employed in San Francisco with Ellman, Burke and Cassidy Law Firm and then later as a journalist with the Waterloo Courier for eight years.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Jean and Walter ROGERS of Waterloo; a son, Jacob, at home and a daughter, Lily, also at home, a brother, William GLENN of Redwood City, Calif.; a sister, Barbara WILSON of Santa Cruz, Calif.; six step-brothers, Jim ROGERS of Waterloo, Walter ROGERS of Cedar Falls, Tom and William ROGERS, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., Joel ROGERS of Olathe, Kan., and Tim ROGERS of Springfield, Mo; two step-sisters, Janet BOGE of Charles City, and Mary SULLIVAN of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1971.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 1998, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service/West Ridgeway, Waterloo, with burial at 3 p.m. in Buckingham Cemetery, Traer. There will be no visitation.
