BOHNSTENGEL, Mary M (1905 - 1995)

OBITURARY

Mary M BOHNSTENGEL was born June 25, 1905 in Nevada, Iowa; the daughter of Edward and Margaret (WIENEN) FUOSS. Mary attended school at Riceville, Iowa and then worked as a hired girl. On August 7, 1924 she was united in marriage to Roy BOHNSTENGEL at Waterloo, Iowa and they made their home farming many years west of Traer. After retirement in 1960 they moved into the town of Traer until they moved to Sunnycrest Care Center in Dysrat, where Roy’s death came on August 17, 1994. Mary then moved to Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer, where her death came on Thursday, October 26, 1995 at the age of 90 years. In free moments Mary enjoyed baking, flowers, gardening and crocheting. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, one son; Eldon (Bud), three brothers; Dan, Bill and Paul, and one sister; Mildred. She is survived by her daughter Arlene POSUSLA of Traer, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Following the committal services family and friends are invited for a time of lunch and fellowship at the Traer Memorial Building.
