BOERM, Dennis (1997)

Funeral services for Dennis G. BOERM, 41, of Toledo, were held Wednesday morning, Aug. 27, 1997, at Henderson-Overton Funeral Home in Toledo. Burial was in Crystal Cemetery, rural Toledo.

Dennis died Friday, Aug. 22, 1997, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

The funeral service was officiated by the Rev. Lowell Hoyle. Casket bearers were Dean Folkmann, Chris BOERM, Nick Kubik, Carl Bearden, Kurt BOERM and James Kupka. Floral tributes were handled by Margo Kubik and Luann Kithcart.

Dennis George BOERM was born Aug. 24, 1955, at Marshalltown, Ia., the son of Roy and Lucille (BONEWITZ) BOERM. He attended school at North Tama County Community School in Traer and graduated in 1973. He was an active participant in school activities, sports and 4-H Club during his school years.

Following his graduation Dennis continued his education in Agribusiness and Animal Husbandry at Kirkwood Community College.

Returning to Tama County Dennis then farmed and raised hogs and was active in the Pork Producers Association. Dennis later work for PMA, a farm machinery assembly company and later did the same work for arca implement dealers.

In free moments Dennis enjoyed his family and attending his children’s activities. He also enjoyed the outdoors and spent time pheasant and deer hunting.

Preceding him in death was one brother, Lester.

He is survived by his parents, Roy and Lucille BOERM of Toledo; his daughter, Devin of Toledo; three sons, D. R., Dustin and Dirk, all of Toledo, as well as two brothers, Roger BOERM of Toledo and Leonard BOERM of Garwin.
