Kenneth DRAPER (1985)

Memorial services for Kenneth Allen DRAPER, 38, of Grundy Center, who died Wednesday, Nov. 20, were held Friday, Nov. 22, at the American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center, with the Rev. Kermit Rye officiating.

A graduate of North Tama with the class of 1965, Ken served in the U. S. Navy from 1966-1970, including the Vietnam War. He was married to Ida CLEAVELAND on Nov. 24, 1971 at Boone and the couple lived in Grundy Center all of their married years, except for two years spent in Rock Hampton, Australia from 1975-77. He had once owned the Standard Station in Grundy Center, worked in the Grundy County Auditor’s office, worked for Ross Pntiac Buick, and had most recently, operated the DRAPER Insurance agency.

He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center and a member of the Reinbeck American Legion, Post #242.

Survivors include his wife, Ida of 305 I Avenue, Grundy Center; his parents, Don and Edna DRAPER, both of Reinbeck; a brother, Donald of Ames; and a sister, Kathleen JORDAN of Wichita, Kan.

A memorial fund has been established.
