Toldeo: Harry B. Heitland, 54, of Toledo, widely known in Iowa education circles, died Tues. morning at Allen Hosp. Waterloo where he had been a patient 2 weeks. Death was attributed to a chronic kidney ailment & complications.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Fri. in the Toledo Meth. Church. Burial in Woodlawn Cem. At Toledo. He had been Iowa Rep. for the D. C. Health Publishing Co. since 1941. Previous to that he was superintendent of the Disdale Cons. School district from 1931-1936 when he moved to Toledo to become Tama Co. Superintendent of Schools. He served in that capacity until 1941 & continued to make his home at Toledo until his death. He also served as principal & teacher at Whitten & Allison & was superintendent at Bristow for a time.

Survivors include the widow, the former Vivian Gissel of Independence; a daughter Ann Rae, 10, at home; his father Henry Heitland of Ackley; 3 brothers & 3 sisters: Jake, Woodrow, Elwood, Mrs. Grace Cobie, Mrs. Della Catlett, Ackley, & Mrs. Minnie Vietor or Iowa Falls
