In France Nov 1, 1917; member of Co. D, 168th Inf., Rainbow Div. (42nd). In the battles of Lorraine, Champagne, hateau Theirry, St. Mihiel and Argonne.
Rainbow div. mentioned two times for bravery. Gassed at Lorraine.
