Not in my family tree, but I did an Ancestry.com lookup and found:

Samuel Bowers, d. (no date given) b. 1845 Cemetery: Washington Township, Ames. From Tombstone Records of Story County, Iowa(Inclucive).

Also, same cemetery:
Guy V. Bowers d. 1919 b. 1878
Jemmia Bowers d. 1920 b. 1845

Also, from the 1900 United States Federal Census (census record dated June 5, 1900):

Birthplace: Canada

Image also lists Jemima at age 74. No other residents at this address in 1920.
