Marlene,

Go to the Story County IAGenWeb site (link below) and search on Kirk. Under birth records you will find Ethyl's. You will also find a death record for her father. Her parents are buried in Center Grove Cemetery - the mother was born in 1864 and died in 1902 according to the grave marker. You will also find the parents in the marriage index and probably in other records - I didn't look at them all.
