DIED--Julia Cragewick-Henryson was born in Lee county, Illinois, October 18, 1860, and died July 30, 1896, at Nevada, aged 26 years, 9 months and 12 days.
The sad news of Mrs. Henryson's death was telegraphed to Story City last Thursday evening just after the Herald had gone to press, and was received with the most profound sorrow. She was a woman with a lovely disposition and such women are missed and mourned when they are gone. Mrs. Henryson came with her parents to Hamilton county in 1874 and in 1889 she was married to H. T. Henryson. The first year and a half of their married life was spent at Webster City. Since that time they have lived in Story City--loved and respected by all. In December of last year they moved to Nevada, the county seat, Mr. Henryson having been elected county treasurer.
Shortly after moving to Nevada Mrs. Henryson's health began to fail rapidly and in early spring she took a trip to California in the hope of regaining her lost strength. But it was too late. The monster disease, consumption, had fastened upon her and she returned home a few weeks later to await the summons of the death angel. At a few minutes before five o'clock last Thursday evening she died and went to her reward, leaving a husband and two boys, aged respectively 4 and 6 years, to mourn. Funeral services were held in the new Bethel church at 12 o'clock, Saturday, and were conducted by Rev. Shrader, of Nevada, assisted by Rev. Mikkelson, of this place. The house was packed full of sympathizing friends and many came who were unable to gain admittance. Rev. Shrader's sermon was full of tender feeling as he told of how Mrs. Henryson had bourn her suffering patiently and uncomplaining, happy in the assurance of a Savior's love and a glad reunion on the shores of eternity. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The remains were laid to rest by the side of those of her little two year old boy who died in May.
