Mr. Andrew Sorenson [sic], a highly respected citizen, died at his home south of Story City, Sunday, July 26, 1896, aged 67 years and 6 months. Mr. Sorenson [sic] had been sick for about a year prior to his death, with cancer of the stomach, and the agony that he had suffered in that time is almost incredible. For two or three weeks before he died he was unable to take nourishment, and his last few days were spent in waiting for the end. Funeral services were held on Monday and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at Center school house in this township.
