THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, October 30, 2005.

Clarence C. Cameron, 93, of Ames, died Friday, Oct. 28, at Northcrest Health Care Center. There will be no services. The body has been cremated, and the ashes will be buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Clarence C. Cameron was born Oct. 22, 1912, the son of Henry and Addie (Zenor) Cameron on Cameron School Road, Franklin Township, Story County. He graduated from Boone High School and from the American Institute for Business. He married Mildred Ross on Feb. 14, 1933. They lived in Des Moines, Washington and Maryland and returned to Iowa in 1938.

He worked at the Des Moines Register and Tribune, the U.S. Veterans Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He retired from the National Animal Disease Center in 1973.

He is survived by two daughters, Rochelle Miller of Ames and Karen Halvorson of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Erik and Jill Halvorson of Richmond and Neil Halvorson of Macon, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Blaine and Elaina Halvorson of Macon; and one brother, Leonard of Roanoke, Va.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred.
