MRS. HEINTZ DIED LAST WEEK AT STATE CENTER
Mrs. W. C. Heintz (nee Gertrude Flattebo) died at her home at State Center last Friday. She had been afflicted with tuberculosis for quite a while, bein bedfast since last spring.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in State Center Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Fred A. Smith.
Gertrude Flattebo was born in Story City Sept. 2, 1899, and was married to W. C. Heintz, Jr., in Marshalltown, August 26, 1919. Since that time they have lived in State Center, where two children were born, a son and daughter, the latter, Maxine, surviving with Mr. Heintz. Others surviving are her father, Andrew Flattebo, and three children were born, a son and daughter, the latter, Maxine, surviving with Mr. Heintz. Others surviving are her father, Andrew Flattebo, and three brothers, Martin, Severine and Sherman of Story City, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Koontz of South Bend, Ind.
Mr. Heintz is a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Heintz of Collins. Members of the State Center American Legion auxiliary, of which Mrs. Heintz had been an active member, attended the funeral service in a body.
