MRS. HERMAN JORGENSON LAID TO REST SATURDAY
Mrs. Herman Jorgenson died last Thursday evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. S. L. Larson, in the east part of town. She had been in failing health for a number of years, and since about Easter of this year she was seriously sick, having taken down with the flu.
Funeral services were held Saturday, at the Larson home at 1:30 and at the St. Petri church at two o'clock, Rev. Scarvie officiating. The pall bearers were: Theo. and Sherman Larson, Sherman Holm and Arnold, Morris and John E. Erickson. The body was laid to rest in Fairview cemetery.
Inger Mary Erickson was born on the old homestead east of the river June 24, 1872, and she died May 7, 1931, at the age of nearly 59. July 23, 1896, she was married to Herman J. Jorgenson. To this union one son was born, Jasper, of Flint, Mich., who with the husband survives her.
Two sisters, Mrs. Julia Johnson and Gurina, preceded her in death, and she is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. E. W. Erickson and E. E. Erickson of Carpio, N. D., Mrs. S. L. Larson, Oline Erickson and W. E. Erickson of Story City.
Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. K. S. Olson of Kenyon, Minn., Mrs. Maggie Jorgenson and Harriet, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson, and Anna and Ellen Jorgenson of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Theo Larson of Kensett; Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Wierson and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wierson of Roland; Mr. and Mrs. Haugen, Mrs. Meland and Mrs. Peterson of Huxley.
