OBITUARIES
DEATH OF MRS. TENDELAND
Mrs. M. A. (Grethe) Tendeland died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alex Henderson, at this place near midnight last Thursday. She had been quite ill some weeks ago, but had gotten so well that she was up and around very much as usual. Even the day of her death she had been feeling quite well, and did not take sick till after ten o'clock at night.
Mrs. Tendeland was almost 72 years old. With her family she had made Story City her home for many years before moving to Sioux City. Her husband died at the latter place about ten years ago, since which time she has made her home most of the time with her son Julius. For some months she has lived here with her daughter.
The funeral services were held in the Bethel church Tuesday afternoon, Revs. Paulsrud and Solum officiating. The remains were sent to Sioux City for interment beside her husband.
During her residence here Mrs. Tendeland endeared herself to all the people with whom she came in contact. She was a home maker in every sense of the word, and was of a kind and generous disposition. Her children -- Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Jacobson and Julius--will ever recall her memory as a benediction, and her friends, who are legion, will ever remember her hospitality and geniality.
