MICHAEL HANNEMAN DEAD

Micheal [sic] Hanneman, one of the respected farmers of eastern Boone county, died last week on Tuesday at the age of 65 years and 9 months.

The deceased was born in Halle, Germany, Oct. 12, 1846, and came to America May 24, 1876, settling first at Cedar Rapids, and coming in 1884 to his farm near Gilbert.

He was united in marriage to Caroline Dirts [should be Dietz], May 6, 1879. To this union were born two sons, John and Charles, who with the mother survive him; also a niece, Carrie Snider, who has been as a daughter to him her mother's death.

Mr. Hanneman lived a quiet life, devoted to his family and his neighbors, who feel that they have lost a generous friend. His death occurred at one o'clock in the morning of July 9, 1912.
