DEATH OF MRS. MORTON JORGENSON*

Mrs. Morton Jorgenson died at her home two miles west of Story City last Monday morning from a stroke of paralysis. The funeral was held on Tuesday at the Center schoolhouse, Rev. Smay officiating.

OBITUARY

Anna Jensen was born in Denmark the 25th of January, 1838. She became the wife of Morton Jorgenson*, and with their family they came to America in 1891, settling on a prairie farm a couple of miles west of Story City. Here the remainder of their lives was spent. Mrs. Jorgenson was 74 1/2 years old.

The family consisted of seven children four of whom preceded her thru the gates of death. Three remain to mourn her departure, and to hold in grateful memory her mother-love and tender care, namely, Mrs. Andrew D. Larson of near Randall; Mrs. David Anderson of Story City and John Jorgenson of Jewell. These, with the grandchildren, were all present at the burial services, which were in charge of pastor Smay, of the Evangelical Church, at Center schoolhouse. The remains were laid to rest in the pretty little cemetery near by, but the spirit has returned to God who gave it.
