Leola Winifred (Taylor) Meacham, 95 of Boone died on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 12 at Chet Ryan Mortuary with Pastor Scott Milsom officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Winifred was born on December 26, 1909 in Darlington, Wisconsin to Harry and Harriett Mary (Kitto) Campbell Taylor. She was a 1928 graduate of Carroll High School. Winifred married Charles C. Meacham on June 15, 1933 in Carroll, Iowa. She was a homemaker most of her life, but also was employed at Donnelley Marketing, Nevada National Bank and Davis Donnellan Lumber. Winifred was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a past matron and a fifty year member. She loved to play bridge.

Winifred is survived by 10 nieces including Treva Melton of Perry and 5 nephews.

Winifred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles on January 30, 1985, and 3 brothers.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the arrangements.
