Mrs. Carrie Wee Of Huxley Dies

Mrs. Carrie Wee, life-time resident of the Huxley community, died at 2 a. m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Olem Fjelland, near Huxley. She had been ill with cancer for some time and was in a serious condition for three weeks.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p. m. at the Miller Wee home in Huxley and at 1:30 p. m., from the Palestine Lutheran church with Rev. H. E. Jacobson in charge.

Six nephews served as pallbearers: Leonard, Eddie and Burt Wood of Eagle Grove, Elmer Dobbe, Arthur Larson and Milton Dobbe. A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. H. E. Jacobson, Kathryn Larson, Burt Tesdall and Walter Christopher, sang "We Are Going Down the Valley." The pastor chose for his text, verses 12 and 13 in the first chapter of Paul's Epistle to the Colossians. A large sum on money was given to the missions in memory of Mrs. Wee, who had endeared herself to a large circle of friends by her quiet, unassuming way and her unselfish interest in the welfare of others. After the sermon Walter Christopher sang a solo in the Norwegian language, "Tell Mother I'll Be There."

Burial was in the church cemetery.
