Funeral Rites Held For Kelley Woman
Mrs. Lettie Nagel, 83, passed away Sunday at the Iowa Lutheran Home in Madrid.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Kelley. Rev. Olaf Holen was in charge of the service, speaking on the text Job 14:14.
Mrs. Lowell Accola was the organist and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Robert Gustafson who sang, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "In the Garden."
Pallbearers were Stanley Hillebo, John Hillebo, David Nagel, Michael Nagel and Norman Edwards.
Interment was in the Bethany Cemetery.
Obituary
Boletta (Lettie) Karen Pernilla Olson, daughter of Gustina and Ole Olson of Kleppe, Stavanger, Norway, was born Feb 11, 1881.
She came to the United States in 1900 and was married to Severin Nagel in 1904 near Slater.
She spent most of her married life near Kelley and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Her residence for the last 11 years has been the Lutheran Home at Madrid.
She passed away Sunday, July 19 at 83 years of age.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Carl Hillebo of Sheldahl, Mrs. Harry Parker and Mrs. Blanch Golay both of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two sons, Burton of Callendar and Orville of Lacona; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Severt Erickson of Zearing; three sisters in Norway and a brother in New York; also many other relatives and friends.
