Lovina E. Nye

Lovina E. Nye was born April 25, 1824 at Halifax, Vermont and died of pneumonia March 11, 1904 at the home of her sister Mrs. Emeline Slater at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 10 days. In her childhood she removed with her parents to Chautauqua Co, New York where her early life was spent. During that time she united with the Congregational church and has ever lived a tru sincere christian life. The best days of her life were spend caring with nuturing devotion for an invalid mother while during her life she as ever been ready and willing to lend a helping hand. Hers was a pure unselfish life always thinking of others before herself. Death has taken from our midst a loved one, one of God's truest servants but it found her ready as the wheat for the harvest. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. A. M. Shea. The interment was made in the Ames cemetery.
